One identity, many worlds
The passport is a thin layer of identity on top of accounts that already exist. It joins your games together without taking anything over.
- 01
Create your Groot ID
A handle, an email and a password. This is the only account you sign in with, here and on every game site we run.
- 02
Connect the games you already play
Enter your existing Sky Fang username and password once, from your dashboard. We check it against the live game database, so nothing is migrated and your in-game login keeps working exactly as before.
- 03
Connect the rest as they launch
Each new title joins the same way: prove you own the game account once, and it appears in the same dashboard alongside everything else.
Boundaries
What the passport can and cannot do
Linking is proof, not transfer
To connect a game account you sign in with that game's own username and password once. We verify it against the live game database and record only the account id and name.
Read-only by design
The portal connects to each game database with a SELECT-only account restricted to the tables it needs. It cannot change your characters, items or balances.
One passport per game account
A game account can belong to only one Groot ID. If someone else has already claimed yours, linking is refused and support has to intervene.
Everything is logged
Sign-ins, links and disconnects are written to an audit trail with time and address, so a disputed claim can be traced.
Questions we get asked
The short answers. Support can go deeper on any of them.
- Do I have to create a Groot ID to keep playing?
- No. Your game login keeps working on its own. The passport is an extra layer on top, not a replacement, and a game account with no passport is not affected in any way.
- Is my Groot ID password the same as my game password?
- No, and it should not be. They are separate accounts in separate databases. The game password is only ever used to prove ownership when you connect that title, and it is never stored here.
- Can I change which game account is linked?
- You can disconnect a link yourself at any time, which leaves the game account untouched. Re-linking requires the game password again.
- I used to sign in here with my game username.
- That route has been retired in favour of a single Groot ID. If your passport was created that way and has no password set, contact support and we will restore access to it.
- Where does my CELL balance come from?
- From the QSDM network, read against the wallet address your game account proved ownership of. The portal never holds a private key.
- My game account uses a very old password format.
- Those accounts cannot be verified safely, so linking is refused. Reset the password in-game first, then link.
